Become a Licensed Registered Nurse

The Professional Nursing Program at Austin Community College trains students to become an integral part of the healthcare community. Registered nurses provide health promotion, maintenance, and restoration for patients and their families. You’ll learn skills based on theory, practice, research, facts, and concepts of biological, social, physical and behavioral sciences. Upon completion, experienced faculty will have you ready to provide and coordinate care in a variety of settings, or transfer credits to a bachelor’s degree in nursing at ACC.

The Professional Nursing Program at Austin Community College is a special admissions program with limited availability. Students preparing for the program should select “General Studies in Pre-Health Sciences” as their major on the application. Because requirements may change, consult the program website to confirm current requirements. Admission to the college does not guarantee entrance into a particular course or program of study.
