TechTeach Across Texas lets you advance from an associate to a bachelor’s degree in a single year while earning your teacher certification. The program not only gets you in Austin ISD classrooms faster, it prepares you with a full year of hands-on experience and frequent certification exam practice.
About the Tech Teach Program
TechTeach at ACC is a partnership between Austin Community College and Texas Tech University. Students who complete the ACC Associate of Arts in Teaching are encouraged to apply.
Specialize in Education Areas
Choose from a variety of specialties: English as a Second Language, Special Education, and/or a variety of core subjects. Additionally, all participants take two focus area courses in AVID (Advancement Via Individual Determination), literacy, STEM, or bilingual education.

Admission Requirements
- Complete an Associate of Arts in Teaching
- Minimum GPA of 2.75
- Have 66 transferable credit hours
- Have completed two years of foreign language in high school or earned two semesters of foreign language credits in college
