Become a Diagnostic Imaging Technician

Studying diagnostic medical imaging at Austin Community College can provide a window into life-saving diagnoses. You’ll use advanced equipment to develop extensive knowledge of patient care, anatomy and physiology, image production, radiation protection, and procedures. The radiologist program offers an associate degree with the opportunity for advanced certificates in cardiovascular intervention, magnetic resonance imaging, and cardiovascular interventional technology.

Diagnostic Medical Imaging – Radiology at ACC is a special admissions program with limited availability. Students preparing for the radiologist program should select General Studies in Pre-Health Sciences as their major on the application. Because requirements may change, consult the program website to confirm current requirements. Admission to the college does not guarantee entrance into a particular course or program of study.
