Become a Teacher

You can develop the skills to lead any classroom by studying Education Instruction at Austin Community College. In this program, student teachers learn the knowledge and skills necessary to adapt teaching methods to different learning styles so children and teens can be successful in school.

Teacher education is offered for early childhood-through-sixth grade, fourth-through-eighth grade, and eighth-through-12th grade. Our partnership with Texas Tech University also provides a faster track to your teaching degree through the TechTeach Program.

With higher projected enrollments for K-12 grades, job numbers continue to see a steady growth. With a bachelor’s degree, graduates can find a job in one of Central Texas’ 60 school districts.
