ACC Culinary School
Whether you want to run a cozy bakery or work in a Michelin-starred kitchen, ACC’s culinary programs provide career training that employers look for. Learn valuable skills in baking and pastry, culinary arts, entrepreneurship, and more. ACC culinary faculty have a combined several decades of experience in the food industry.
How Long Is Culinary School?
Depending on course load and whether you choose an associate degree or a certificate, you can get training in the culinary arts in as little as one year at ACC.
Associate of Applied Science Degree
Earn an AAS in baking and pastry or culinary arts. Classes prepare students to enter the workforce or transfer to a four-year college for a bachelor’s degree. Coursework covers pastry, breads, nutrition, food safety, meat handling, preparation, and much more.
Culinary Arts and Pastry Arts Certificates
A culinary arts certificate from ACC can be the first step toward an AAS or to a career in a commercial kitchen. Students learn the fine art of pastry or chef training.
Hospitality & Tourism
Austin is a destination city for tourists, festival-goers, day-trippers and other visitors. Whether you like the excitement of working in a downtown first-class hotel or managing events, ACC has the hospitality training program for you, right here in Central Texas. Programs include:
- Baccalaureate prep associate’s degree. Students who plan to get a bachelor’s degree can take classes that transfer to a four-year college.
