Advance your career with a manufacturing degree. ACC’s Bachelor of Applied Technology in Manufacturing Engineering Technology (BATMET) is for students who already have an eligible associate degree and who want to advance their career in the manufacturing sector.
The program broadens your knowledge of automation and production, industrial safety, quality, continuous improvement, manufacturing management and operations to go along with your existing technical skills. This degree program will help students and professionals skill up in a rapidly expanding industry.

BATMET Program Details
ACC offers BATMET upper-division courses only one time per year as part of a structured curriculum and standardized program map. Find your program-map below, with a bachelor degree pathway for students with an AAS and a pathway for students with an Associate of Science in Engineering.
- The program accepts applicants in the spring semester for enrollment in the fall semester only.
- Applicants can have prerequisites in progress at the time of application, but they must be completed prior to fall enrollment
- The program can be done as a part-time student, and will require some in-person classes.
- Students must complete all courses with a grade of C or better.

BATMET Admission Considerations
ACC reserves priority admission for ACC graduates. We also consider overall GPA and related work experience in admissions decisions.
You must meet the following criteria to apply for the BATMET program.
- Complete the ACC admissions process. If you are a previous ACC student, you do not need to re-apply. However, you may need to contact ACC Admissions and Enrollment to ensure your information is up-to-date.
- Have an eligible Associate of Applied Science or Associate of Science in Engineering.
- Have successfully completed college algebra or a higher-level math course.
- Have a minimum 2.5 GPA on a 4-point scale for ALL academic coursework.
- Write a letter of intent explaining why you are applying for the BATMET program.
- Have a letter of recommendation from current/former faculty or an employer.
- Have a professional resume.
- Submit your BATMET application as a combined PDF with the above documents and college transcript at the department website.
